Reduce The Appearance of Wrinkles Around Your Eyes this Spring with TempSure Envi

Your eyes take center stage on your face, often speaking for you before you’ve even opened your mouth. If fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes are interfering with the story you want to tell, we have an innovative laser system that can reduce their appearance — TempSure™ Envi. And the best news? We tap your body’s own powerful resources to do the job by providing a noninvasive call to action.

At Urban Eye Care, under the expert guidance of Dr. Jennifer Andrews, we want our Seattle area patients to look out at the world with clear vision. And when the world looks back, we want them to see your eyes clearly without the distraction of lines and wrinkles. With our TempSure Envi laser system, we can bring a more youthful appearance to your skin, allowing it to match the sparkle in your eyes.

And why not use this season of renewal to bring a fresh look to your face?

The passage of time

Before we dive into the exciting TempSure Envi technology and how it can reduce the appearance of wrinkles around your eyes, let’s take a quick look at what happens to your skin over time.

As you grow older, your skin naturally loses the two proteins responsible for the elasticity and tone in your skin — elastin and collagen. This loss is gradual, but it tends to ramp up as you enter your 50s (especially for women going through menopause).

On top of this structural deficit, the skin around your eyes has been pulled in dozens of directions over the years, and this wear-and-tear begins to add up. Every time you squint, frown, or smile, lines form around your eyes as your muscles pull your skin. Over time, and especially with the loss of collagen and elastin, these lines become well-worn paths that are permanently etched into your skin.

A wake-up call

With our TempSure Envi technology, we deliver radiofrequency energy into your tissue, which serves as a wake-up call for your structural support.

Using a small handpiece, we first apply a gel over the skin around your eyes, and then we deliver the energy, which heats up your dermal tissue, without harming the surface area (your epidermis). In fact, the TempSure Envi system is equipped with a feature called Therapeutic Logic Control (TLC), which activates a timer when your tissue has reached the correct temperature. This ensures that we don’t overheat your tissue and also allows us to uniformly treat your target area.

Immediately after we deliver the energy, we stimulate your collagen, which may provide you with immediate results that last 2-3 days after your treatment. But the real work happens over the following weeks.

Within about 7-10 days, your body begins a natural rebuilding process with the help of fibroblasts and growth factors that call for new collagen and elastin synthesis. Over the course of several weeks, this additional structural support builds a new network under your skin, lifting the entire area and reducing your fine lines and wrinkles.

The treatment itself is quick and easy — just 30 minutes to address the skin around your eyes. Since TempSure Envi is noninvasive, there’s no downtime afterward, which means you’re free to go about your day. The technology also works on most skin types.

If you have any questions about our TempSure Envi system, or you’d like to schedule your spring appointment, simply give us a call or use the online booking tool.
